People are often full of crap and idiotic ideas when it comes to making money online. Don’t fall for the hype circulating the internet—most of it is just rehashed content from bloggers or marketers looking to make money off you. All they care about is driving traffic to their sites and selling their products, whether it's e-books or other gimmicks.
Many of the people who do make money online, whether through blogging or other methods, started ages ago. To keep the cash flowing, they make it sound like a breeze for newbies, glossing over the real challenges and how to overcome them. Some even go as far as encouraging you to quit your job and dive into some unrealistic venture, promising you’ll earn five to six figures in just a few months. Don’t let your needs be manipulated by these folks.
Have you seen people use big names like Amazon or Walmart to lure you into something? They conveniently leave out the decades of effort it took these giants to get where they are.
And trust me, this won't change anytime soon. Take bloggers, for example. Many started when the competition was minimal, and after nearly a decade of building credibility and gaining guest posters, they now teach newbies to follow in their footsteps. But in today’s competitive landscape, where countless others have already covered every topic, starting from scratch is a tough climb.
Some might suggest freelancing on platforms like Fiverr, but your gig will likely get lost among thousands of more established competitors. Or they’ll tell you to start a YouTube channel, ignoring the fact that even excellent videos often struggle to get more than a handful of views.
I’m not trying to discourage you, but you need to understand that the online world is cutthroat. Think about it—there are hundreds of search engines, yet you always turn to Google, right? The same principle applies across the board.
If you want to make money online, ensure you have something genuinely valuable to offer and be ready to fully commit. Otherwise, you'll just end up frustrated by the endless nonsense you’ll encounter.
And don’t make the mistake of quitting your job unless you have a solid reason to do so.
